Secular Homeschool Curriculum – You Have Many Choices

Are you interested in a secular homeschool curriculum for your child? Although at times it seems difficult to find a non-religious based curriculum, you do have many choices in not only curriculum, but delivery methods as well. This article will mention a few of those selections without advocating any particular one. You have many choices when it comes to homeschooling.

There are several High Schools which are accredited college preparation online home schools for grades nine through twelve and which offer technical and academic subjects. Some high schools offer courses by I-Pod, CD Rom, and textbook for grades one through twelve, though I-Pod delivery is limited to grades six through twelve. At least one school which is an accredited high school delivers its courses solely through correspondence for grades nine through twelve. It offers two different tracks – college preparation and general and the school issues a diploma to successful graduates.

There is also a Pre K and kindergarten school which delivers its curriculum via monthly kits which sometimes include lots of freebies such as crayons, coloring books, etc. This is an accredited k-12 school which delivers its curriculum via online, textbooks, and project based. It is what might be called a “full service” school in that it offers an actual high school graduation ceremony at its campus, offers membership in the National Honor Society as well as several student clubs. But perhaps most importantly to your child, this school offers a high school prom!

As you can see, you have lots of choices for a secular homeschool curriculum. Not only do you have choices in curriculum, you also have choices in its delivery. Of course, you will want to consider your child’s capabilities and what works best for your child. After all, you want your child to have the best educational experience possible at home.
